2019 Ariton Baptist Church Youth Fishing Day Application
The date for the event will be on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
This opportunity is provided by Ariton Baptist Church and volunteers. There is no charge for attending this event. Everyone will need to arrive at Ariton Baptist Church by 11:00 a.m. and the departure time will be around 6:00 p.m.
This is our first time hosting the Youth Fishing Day, but we are encouraged by the support and interest that we have received.
The purpose of this event is to share the love of Jesus Christ, for fellowship and to allow the kids to fish & enjoy God’s creation in the outdoors.
Thank you for your interest in attending this event. Each applicant and their parent or legal guardian that submits an application understands that this event is faith based and each of you agree for us to be able to share the word of God throughout the event. If the applicant attends the event, you also agree to allow us to use photos of the applicant and family members that are present to promote the event.
The event is for kids that have a missing parent. If their parent is deceased, not involved in their life, or is presently serving in the military overseas then they are encouraged to apply.
The event is for boys or girls ages 8 thru 18 years old. Unfortunately, if someone has reached their 19th birthday by the day of the event, they will not be able to participate.
We are requesting each person to complete an application to ensure that we have enough volunteers for the event. As you can imagine, we have no idea how many applications we will receive. Therefore, it is possible that all applicants may not be selected. All applications are due by Wednesday, April 24, 2019. The applicants will be notified by Saturday, April 27, 2019 if they are selected.
Each applicant must be a resident of Alabama.
Each applicant and their parent or legal guardian will be required to sign a release prior to participating in the event.
Everyone is asked to abide by the landowner’s rules pertaining to the number of fish and size of fish that we are allowed to keep.
Parents and legal guardians are welcome to attend the event. This should be a good opportunity for everyone to make memories that will last for a long time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our committee members.
